Start a Herb Garden Now!

Starting your own herb garden can be beneficial in many ways. Fresh herbs (like fresh veggies) are free of any chemical sprays or pesticides, as well as easy on the wallet! With a bit of tender love and care, you can have great fresh herbs growing in your window, on the balcony or out in the garden in no time.
Depending on which herbs you choose and how you choose to grow them, they can sprout within a few weeks. Make a list of the herbs you use often, then do some research on care for them. Some of the most common are dill, chives, oregano, rosemary, and thyme. Some are easier to maintain than others, so make sure you prepare a schedule of when you can do the necessary work.
If you're not sure where to start or what you'll need then a great way to get started on your own herb garden is with a simple starter kit. A starter kit will come with a instructions book, some seeds, small pots and all you have to do is buy the soil!
Remember gardening takes patience and care. So don't worry if you don't see anything growing right away! It will come and it will be amazing! Good Luck with all your Herb Gardens :)

Congrats to Jill & Pat on their Engagement

Christmas is just around the corner and my sister has a lot to look forward to now. I want to congratulate her and her fiance on their engagement! They have been together for over 5 years now and just recently bought their first home together. They have been able to stay together even at the beginning of their relationship, where Jill was in Newfoundland and Pat was here in Ontario. The dedication and commitment these two people have is amazing.

I wish you both many years of happiness together and hope that one day soon I can have a niece or nephew! lol Congrats!

RIP Pat Burns - Former TML Coach

I want to take a few moments to remember a former Toronto Maple Leafs coach, Pat Burns. He died Friday, November 19, 2010 of various forms of cancer. He was an awesome coach and won Coach of the year 3 different times throughout his career in the NHL.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Burns' family and friends through this difficult time. He was 58 years old.

RIP Pat Burns- November 19, 2010
